Shining a Light During Suicide Awareness Week
This week we pause to acknowledge Suicide Awareness Week a time to honour those we’ve lost, stand alongside those who are struggling, and strengthen the bonds that keep our communities connected. By talking openly about mental health and suicide, we help break the silence and reduce stigma, reminding each other that no one has to face hard times alone.Every act of kindness, every conversation, and every bit of support shared can make a real difference. Together, we can create a culture of hope, compassion, and understanding. If you or someone you know is in crisis, please reach out:

Survivors abuse while in faith-based or State care

Papakura Support and Counselling Centre (PSCC) is committed to supporting and raising awareness for the incredible individuals who have survived abuse while in faith-based or State care. To honour their journeys and provide meaningful support, PSCC will be hosting a series of workshops open to survivors as well as professionals who work with them. These workshops aim to strengthen understanding, connection, and support for those affected.
